User cannot see database in list when selecting 'Change Database'

Database will only be present on the change database list if the user in question has logged into them on that PC before.

Before a user can log into a database, they must have a user account on that database. If the user account needs to be created, please refer to our article on adding Dimensions users. Note that the user name must be the same on each database, including any spaces.

Once the user has been created:

  1. On the main login screen, select the More(>>) button at the bottom of the page.

  2. Select Change Database

  3. At the bottom of the list, select Other

  4. Enter the relevant login details and select the relevant ODBC data link

  5. Select the magnifying glass next to Database and select the relevant database

Once the user has logged in once, they should then be able to see that database on the Change Database list for future use.
