To Fix this issue you will need to have access to ODBC Data Sources (32-bit) or (64-bit) if this is used with Admin Privileges.

Follow these steps to fix the issue:

  1. Open ODBC Data Source Administrator (32-bit)

  2. Select System DSN (User DSN is sometimes used for ODBC Connections too)

  3. Find the ODBC Link you used (Example - Dimensions)

  4. Click Configure

  5. Ensure the details for the server are correct and press Next

  6. Use the Password for the user under With SQL Server Authentication using a login ID and password entered by the user (Usually the SA user)

  7. Click Next

  8. Ensure that Use ANSI Quoted identifies Is ticked

  9. Press Next

  10. Press Finish

  11. Press Test Connection

  12. If successful try to log back into dimensions with the ODBC Link you just changed

  13. Create the user again
