This error is due to the user used for the AOI data connection not having sufficient future period posting permissions in Dimensions.
To check the user used in the data connection:
Open AOI Administrator.
Go to the Data Connections tab and select the connection used from the list on the right.
Make a note of the user being used by the connection, if it's not your user update it by entering your Dimensions User Name and Password.
Then select the database to be the correct one and click Update.
If the user used is correct, then the permissions within Dimensions would need updating which can be done by following the steps in this article.
Create a new journal template which will now be using the updated Data Connection.
Please note: If the profile being used within Dimensions is on a Master Profile, then you will not be able to make any changes via Security Profiles. Instead you can move the Master Profile to another Profile that allows you to make changes and already has Future Period Postings by following the below steps:
Ribbon View:
1. Go to System
2. Click onto Profiles
3. Click onto Find and enter the Profile name that has Future Period Postings or can use the Edit button
4. Press Enter
5. Click onto the Users button
6. Locate the user from the left hand side with the Master Profile
7. Click onto the Green arrow that points to the right, which will then move the Profile over.
You can then repeat the above steps in the following other Menus:
Module Menus:
1. Go to System Control
2. Click onto Users
3. Click onto Security Profiles
Classic:
1.Go to the Access Menu
2. Click onto System Control
3. Click onto Users
4. Click onto Security Profiles
