Register AOI

The article explains how to register AOI and applies to versions 5.7.19 and above.

If you need to register an earlier version of AOI, first check what version you're on following our article here then raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.

Before you start

If the application you’re connecting to e.g. Dimensions is on a local server, you need to know the following:

  • Location of the AOI Licence file.

  • Password for the SA account.

If the application you’re connecting to is hosted with Access, you need to know the following:

  • Location of the AOI Licence file.

  • If the hosted application is privately hosted, the HTTPS Server URL.

On a local server

  1. Click AOI Registration.
    Note: If you only need to renew the licence, select Update existing… then proceed with steps 2 to 6 and 9 to 11.

  2. Click Next then click Browse….

  3. Browse and select the licence file.
    Note: If you’re running AOI via a remote connection on the browser, look for a folder with your name, or computer name as this links to your local computer.

  4. Click Open.. then click Import.

  5. Select Connect to a Microsoft SQL Server via ODBC Data Link.

  6. Select the DataSource drop-down and select the same data source name that is used to log onto Dimensions.

  7. Enter the Username as SA.

  8. Enter the Password for the SA account.

  9. Click Next.

  10. Check the necessary information is correct then click Finish.

  11. Click Yes then click OK.

Hosted with Access

  1. Click AOI Registration.
    Note: If you only need to renew the licence, select Update existing… then proceed with steps 2 to 6 and 7 to 9.

  2. Click Next then click Browse….

  3. Browse and select the licence file.
    Note: If you’re running AOI via a remote connection on the browser, look for a folder with your name, or computer name as this links to your local computer.

  4. Click Open.. then click Import.

  5. Select Connect to a hosted registration service.

  6. In the HTTPS Server box, enter aoilive.accessacloud.com or the particular URL if using private hosting.

  7. Click Next.

  8. Check the necessary information is correct then click Finish.

  9. Click Yes then click OK.
