Error - 'Signing in via web browser…' message when logging on or viewing documents

This can be caused by the Access Evo User option being enabled on the user's User Record. This setting is set in the database for each user. So the behaviour may vary between users and between different databases for the same user.


So you may wish to check and compare this setting for a working and non-working user in each applicable database. To check and update the setting if needed, do the following in Dimensions:

Ribbon style menu:

  1. Click System, User Records.

  2. Select the relevant user/s in the list.

  3. Click Options.

  4. If the Workspace User box is ticked for a non-working user, then deselect it as follows:

  5. Click the Edit.

  6. Untick the Workspace User check box.

  7. Click Save.

  8. Close the Options and User Records windows.

  9. The user will need to log out and back into Dimensions for the changes to take effect.


Classic/Module Menus style menu:

  1. Select System Control, Users, User Records from the navigation menu.

  2. Follow from Step 2 above.
