Clear the multi-user flags

Note: Check the following before clearing the multi-user flags:

  • Ensure there are no other users are actively working in Dimensions. To check this, click System, User Records. Order by the Active column and only one user should be active.

  • Make sure to have taken a recent back-up of the Dimensions database, or if you are hosted then note the time incase you would like to request a restore.

  • Do not use this routine if a period-end or year-end has crashed or frozen. Please log a new case online in this instance.

To clear the multi-user flags please follow these steps:

  1. Click System, Data Utilities, and then Clear Multi User Flags. The Multi User Flags window appears.

  2. To clear the flags, next to an area that may have flags set, select the check boxes.

    • ​​Note: A transaction may have flags set in several parts of the system. For Example: an order from SOP may set flags in Customer Records, Stock Records and System. In this case you should select all the areas in which flags may have been set.

  3. To clear all the flags from all modules, select All Multi User Flags.

  4. Click the green tick icon. A dialog appears. Click OK.
