If the bank reconciliation screen through the cashbook is trying to be accessed and are getting an error message stating that another user is already reconciling to this bank account, the first thing to check is that there are no other users currently reconciling that account.
β
If this has been checked this and is sure that no one else is in this part of the system, then the bank reconciliation screen may have become "locked" due to Dimensions crashing.
β
To resolve this issue, a clearing of the "Multi-User Flags" may be required.
Below are the steps to follow to do this:
Login as the βsaβ user or a user with an equivalent master security profile.
Ensure all other users are logged out of Dimensions Accounts by going to the System Tab.
Notice the Security Section.
Click on User Records.
Make sure a recent back-up of your Access Accounts Database has been run. Note: If unsure how to do this please contact the I.T service provider.
Navigate to the System Tab.
Click on Data Utilities.
Select Clear Multi-User Flags from the list.
Tick the All Multi-User Flags tick box.
Press the Green Tick making sure to read any messages that appear on screen during the process.
When the routine has finished running, open the bank reconciliation screen as normal.
