WO Control - Merge Works Orders
Only unprocessed, top level Works Orders can be merged.
You may wish to merge works orders of the same type to streamline your production process.
Open the Works Order Control window from the Works Order Control option and use the Works Order Search to locate and display the Works Orders you wish to work with.
Merge Unprocessed Works Order
Select a completely unprocessed, top level Works Order in the top pane.
When works orders are merged, the selected works order will remain with an increased quantity.
The works orders that are selected for merging will be deleted.
Click the Merge Unprocessed Works Order function.
If there are any unprocessed works orders that can be merged with the one you have selected, they will be listed in the Merge Works Order window.
Works orders that are currently locked by other users will be displayed with a padlock function and will not be available for selection.
The columns can be sorted into ascending order by clicking on the column header bar. For example you may find it helpful to sort by End Date or Priority
Select those that you wish to merge by ticking the box alongside the works order number.
When you select works order to merge, a New Quantity field will be displayed and will contain the revised quantity for the merged works order.
Click OK to merge the orders.
The works orders that have been ticked in the window will be merged into the works order you selected.
When you return to the Works Order Control window, the quantity on the selected works order will have been increased and the works orders that have been absorbed by the merge will have been deleted.
Notes will have been added to the remaining works order to record why the quantity of the works order was increased.
