WO Creation Wizard - (Sales Orders) Suggested Works Orders
This is the sixth window of the Works Order Creation Wizard when the Sales Order method has been selected. See New Works Order.
On this window you can view the Works Orders, suggested by the system, based on the selected Sales Orders and the requirements you have entered in the wizard.
The different products required to fulfil the selected Sales Orders will be listed. From these, you can drill-down to view the suggested Works Orders and the Sales Orders that have been associated with them.
These are the top level works orders that are required to meet the Sales Orders. Any child (lower level) works orders that are required to build the components needed for the top level orders will also be created but are not listed in the wizard.
This is where you have the final say on which Works Orders are created. You can untick both individual Works Orders and entire Stock items, to prevent the Works Orders from being generated.
Review the suggested Works Orders and press Create.

Suggested Works Orders
The detail of the suggested Works Orders is displayed in tabular format. The quantities can be amended, enabling you to alter and set the values against the individual Works Orders.
Associate
This is the quantity of stock that will be utilised from the over-production of existing works orders.
Build
This is the quantity to be built.
Against the Stock item, this is the total of the suggested Works Orders.
If you drill-down to view the suggested Works Orders, this will be the suggested quantity for which the Works Order should be created.
This quantity can be increased or decreased.
Setting the build quantity of a Works Order to zero will have the same result as un-ticking the line; the Works Order will not be generated.
If you drill-down to view the Sales Orders, the build quantity will be the quantity required to fulfil the order and cannot be changed.
Sort Key
A Sort Key can be entered for the new Works Orders that will be created. This will help you to locate the Works Order for tracking and when viewing in the Works Order Enquiry windows.
Route
This is the route that will be taken by the Works Order once put into production. The route can be changed but only valid, existing routes can be entered. If an invalid route is entered, a pop-up list of routes will be displayed enabling you to select a valid route with a double click.
Start Date / End Date
These dates have been estimated from the information held on the Route record, from the dates on the Sales Orders and the dates entered in the wizard.
Both dates can be amended. The start date cannot be later than the end date. If you enter a date earlier than today's date, you will be prompted to confirm that this is correct.
Priority
This is the Production Priority entered on the Supplementary Information window and assigned to all the Works Orders. The value determines the priority of the order for component stock allocation.
This value can be changed for individual Works Orders. Numbers range from 1 to 99, with the lower numbers indicating a more urgent requirement.
Notes
Here you can enter notes to be stored with the Works Order when generated.
