Price Matrix Panel
The Price Matrix Panel is available from the main Plug-Ins menu, Price Matrix Panel, and can be used to look up prices from any of your price lists.
It is also available from the Detail entry window when entering a Sales Order. See Viewing Sales Order Prices.
Select the Price Lists to be searched
You can search all the active price lists or just a limited selection.
To search all the price lists of a particular type:
Select a type from the All Price List Types menu.
This will limit the Price List drop-down list to only include lists of the selected type.
To search a particular price list:
Select the Price List drop-down list.
If the list you are looking for does not appear in the drop-down list:
Check that the correct type is selected the All Price List Types menu or return the menu to All Price List Types.
Check that the price list you are looking for is flagged as Active.
Date and Currency: If you are looking for price lists of a specific currency or that are active on a particular date, select or enter this criteria.
Enter Customer and Product criteria
You can enter specific Customer and Product codes or you can search more generally using the Sort Key or any of the three User Sort fields from the Customer and Stock records.
Select the field to be searched from the menus. Just click on the button to display the list.
There are Look up lists available so that you can select the code or value, or you can enter it directly into the field.
If you are using Sub Analysis, you can select to search for a specific analysis or you can just leave the menus as Any.
Enter or select the account code of the Customer for whom you are looking up a price.

Results: This tab lists the stock items available in the Price List. This tab is read only.
Attributes: This tab displays the attribute values from the Price List. This tab is read only.
Notes: Any notes that were entered when the Price List was created will be displayed in the Notes box at the bottom of this window
Finding prices using the Price Matrix Panel
The Price Matrix Panel can be used to look up prices for your Customers.
Select Price Matrix Panel
Select the Price Lists to be searched
For all the searches described here, you can search all the active price lists or just a limited selection.
To search all the price lists of a particular type:
Select a type from the All Price List Types menu.
This will limit the Price List drop-down list to only include lists of the selected type.
To search a particular price list:
Select the Price List drop-down list.
If the list you are looking for does not appear in the drop-down list:

Looking up a price for a Customer
First select the Price Lists to be searched, or reset the menu and the drop-down list to search all active price lists.
The price lists that contain the product and for which the Customer qualifies will be shown in the Found Price Lists pane.
The product price will be shown in the Price List pane.
Looking for multiple products
You do not have to look for a specific product, you can search for products by Sort Key or any of the three User Sort fields.
First select the Price Lists to be searched or reset the menu and the drop-down list to search all active price lists.
The price lists that contain products with your selected classification and for which the Customer qualifies will be shown in the Found Price Lists pane.
The product prices will be shown in the Price List pane.
Looking for price lists for Customer types
In the same way that you can search for products by classification, you can also search for price lists for which a selected type of Customer qualifies.
The search categories are also the Sort Key or any of the three User Sort fields from the Customer record.
First select the Price Lists to be searched or reset the menu and the drop-down list to search all active price lists.
The price lists that contain products with your selected classification and for which the Customers of the selected category qualify will be shown in the Found Price Lists pane.
The product prices will be shown in the Price List pane.
Price Matrix Panel - Print Price Lists
Price lists can be printed from the Price Matrix Panel opened from the main Plug-Ins menu, Price Matrix Panel.
The style of the price list will depend on the Crystal Report associated with the price list (see Price List ) but will usually include:
the name of the price list from which the prices have been taken;
the product code and description;
buying quantities if appropriate to the price;
and the price.
Printing a complete price list
Locate the list you wish to print:
Open the Price Matrix Panel from the Plug-Ins menu.
Press the Search for price option on the toolbar.
All the price lists that are available today for your default currency will be listed in the Found Price Lists pane. Select the price list you wish to print.
Select the print output you require: Screen; Printer; Email and press Create price list to print the list.
Printing selected prices from a price list
First you have to find the prices to be printed.
Finding prices is covered in more detail in the Finding Prices section, above
To describe the process, the following example has been used:
We are looking for prices for products classified by their Sort Key code as MERLOT;
that are available to Customers classified by their User Sort 1 code as HOTEL.
Prices lists in £ that are available today for HOTEL type Customers will be listed in the Found Price Lists pane and the prices from the currently selected list will be displayed in the Price List pane.
Prices lists in £ that contain MERLOT and that are available today for HOTEL type Customers will be listed in the Found Price Lists pane and the prices from the currently selected list will be displayed in the Price List pane.
If more that one Price List has been found, you need to select the one from which you wish to print the prices.
