Price Matrix - Wizard (Customers)
This window enables you to select the Customers to whom the price list will apply.
Customers can be selected by Sort Key, User Sort 1 to 3, or Account Code.
Select the search method you wish to use from the drop down list. If you have used the Access Accounts Language feature to name the Sort Key and User Sort 1 to 3 fields, these are the names you will see here. If you select one of the sort fields, the values stored for the selected field will be shown in the list below (the left-hand list). If you select Code, a search window will open prompting you to enter search criteria to locate a group of Customers.
The search window will open automatically if this option is selected in the matrix settings. Otherwise, click the Look-up function to open the search window. The Customers who match the search criteria will be returned to the list below (the left-hand list).
Select values from the left-hand list and move them to the right-hand list to include Customers who match the criteria as being eligible for the price list. For example, you could include all Customers classified by their Sort Key as being Hotels. If more than one value is selected, the search will act as an OR search and any Customer records that match any of the values will be eligible for the price list. For example, you could include the Sort Key value HOTELS and the Sort Key value RESTAURANTS. Then the price list will apply to Customers who have either of these Sort Keys. If the Apply to Customers Matching all Criteria option is set on this window, then when more than one value is selected, the search will be an AND search. Only Customers that match all the values will be eligible for the price list. You can move multiple values by selecting them all before clicking the move arrow. For example, if you include the Sort Key value HOTELS and the User Sort 1 (Region) value EASTANGLIA, then the price list will only apply to Customers who match both classifications.
To Exclude a Customer, or a group of Customers with the same classifications, tick the Exclude option before moving the criteria to the right-hand list. For example, you might want to include all Customers classified as Hotels, but exclude those in a one of your Sales Regions (User Sort 2 in our example).
Click Next to select the products that will be in the price list.
