Purchase Invoice Barcode

Purchase Invoice Barcode

If you are using Access Document Management (ADM) to store your documentation, you can select to print a barcode containing the transaction identification information. This barcode can then be attached to the transaction document so that when it is scanned into the document management system, ADM will recognise the barcode and connect the document to the transaction.

Print barcode option

This option is switched on for each User along with their ADM connection information.

  • Select User Records to open the User record list.

  • Select the User who is to be given the option and click Options.

  • On the options window, below the ADM log-in information, is the option Print a barcode for Purchase Invoices and Credit Notes.

  • Click Edit, tick the option and click OK to save the options.

When this User enters a Purchase Ledger invoice or credit note, or produces an invoice or credit note from the Purchase Order Processing module, they will be prompted to print a barcode label. They will need a barcode printer to print the barcode. They will then be able to attach the barcode to the document and scan the document into Access Document Management (ADM).

Print Barcode

If you are a User with the Print a barcode set, when you enter a Purchase Ledger invoice or credit note, or produce an invoice or credit note from the Purchase Order Processing module, you will be prompted to print a barcode label.

Reprint Barcode

Barcodes can be reprinted from Purchase Enquiry windows. On a Purchase Enquiry window, right-click to View Transaction. The Reprint Barcode option is on the toolbar of the View Transaction window.
