Module tab not appearing in Dimensions

A missing module tab is usually caused by one of two things: a security profile permission issue, or deactivated plugins after a new installation or PC. **If a single user is missing a standard tab** (such as Debtors or Creditors), check their security profile permissions and compare them against a user who can see the tab. See managing security profiles for guidance. **If a plugin module tab is missing** following a new installation or PC, reactivate it using the steps below. You may need IT assistance.

  1. Log out of Dimensions.

  2. Go to the Dimensions installation folder on your machine (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Applications\Dimensions\Accounts\[version]).

  3. Open the CustomService folder.

  4. Locate the file that begins Applied_Custom_Plugins.

  5. Right-click the file and click Rename.

  6. Remove Applied_ from the start of the filename so it begins Custom_Plugins.

  7. Log in to Dimensions.

  8. The plugins file is applied, activating and enabling the missing modules.

If the Custom_Plugins file does not exist, install the plugins on your system. See Install and apply the Plugin Unlock Key.
