Cannot access the Corrections module

Updated over a week ago

If the user has just applied new unlocks and cannot access corrections, they may need to enable it in the security profiles.

First, please verify the version of Dimensions that is being used. If it is Dimensions 2.50F or older, please go to the lower section of this article.

Dimensions 2.50G or Newer

In Dimensions 2.50G, Corrections became integrated with the core product. This means that a separate installer is no longer required and Corrections is purely controlled by entering unlocks.

  1. If the user has lost the ability to access Corrections, first check with the colleagues to see if anything has changed in the security profile. Corrections usage may have been restricted by the system administrator.

  2. If the user is the system administrator, click System, Security, Profiles. This will open the security profiles window.

  3. Select the required profile.

  4. To check the Corrections permissions, in the top menu, click Corrections.

  5. Turn on or off the appropriate permissions for corrections users.

  6. If this button is not there, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article and please include details of the user affected.

Dimensions 2.50F or Older

If adding the Corrections module to a pre-existing Dimensions install, then it will be included in the unlocks you receive. If you have just purchased it as a new module, then you should receive new unlocks.

  1. Firstly check to see if there is an option in the menu for More.

  2. If there is, click More, and click Corrections. If this option is here then it is likely that the user needs to enable Corrections permissions for the security profile.

  3. If seeing any mention of it in the More menu in Dimensions, the user may need to install it using the Corrections installer.

  4. If there is no installation media to install Corrections, or if Corrections is installed, but the user cannot access the Corrections module please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article and please include details of the user affected.
