ADM - Error - 'Unable to Launch ADM!'

Updated over a week ago

This error message is advising you that on the PC you are using, the required ADM Launcher files do not exist. This is a requirement when using Dimensions with ADM and so you will need to install the correct version of the ADM Launcher.

If you have access to another PC with the ADM Launcher installed then you can copy the folder onto the local PC:

  1. On the working PC browse to the Access Applications folder

    • This is normally located C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Applications

  2. In the folder you should see a folder Access Document Management

  3. Copy the entire folder to the non working PC and paste into the Access Applications folder

  4. You'll need to exit Dimensions on the non working PC and then log back in for the application to recognise the ADM Launcher

IF, after copying over the ADM Launcher folder/files onto the affected PC still does not resolve your issue (still getting the same Error) - make sure to also check Control Panel of the affected machine, to see whether ADM Launcher appears in the Programs and Features

  1. Open Control Panel from the Windows Start Menu

  2. Click on Programs and Features

  3. Wait for the Applications to refresh and look for ADM Launcher on the Name column

    • **It does not matter too much about the Version showing here. As long as it shows ADM Launcher**

  4. IF ADM Launcher does not appear in Control Panel, Programs and Features you will need to get the ADM Launcher installed via the ADM Installer.

  5. Please see our Article on Dimensions: How do I install the ADM Launcher application? for guidance on Installing the ADM Launcher application

If you do not have access to the ADM Launcher files on another PC or you require the installation files for the ADM Launcher, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
