ADM - Error when using ADM Launcher in Dimensions Unable to logon to ADM

This error usually means there is a problem or conflict between the ADM service Database Version and the ADM Launcher version installed on the local machine.

Take the following troubleshooting steps to resolve this:

  1. Open the ADM Client application and check the version number

  2. Make sure you can log in to the ADM application with your ADM User

  3. Now check the ADM Launcher version on the problem PC

    • Locate the ADM Launcher application

      • This is usually installed to the following location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Applications\Access Document Management\ADM Launcher

    • In the ADM Launcher folder look for the ADMS_API.dll file

    • Right Click the file, Properties, then click on the Details tab

    • Compare File Version to the ADM Client version

      • **the two should be the same base version (v2 to v2, v3 to v3 and so on)**

  4. If you have a different base version of the ADM Launcher to the ADM Client application you'll need a copy of the correct ADM Launcher version.

  5. If possible copy the ADM Launcher folder from a known working PC and put this onto the problem PC

    • Making sure to backup the original ADM Launcher folder as a precaution

  6. Exit Dimensions and log back in, then try to view a Document again
