Locked out of Dimensions, get back in without asking someone to make inactive

Updated over a week ago

A user can be granted Master Status which enables a user to log in even if the system thinks they are logged in already.

These steps will need to be done by someone with user administration permissions.

Ribbon style menu:

  1. In the main menu, click System.

  2. Click User Records.

  3. Find the user, click Options.

  4. Click Edit.

  5. Select the Master Status check box.

  6. Click Save.

Module Menus / Classic style menu:

  1. On the main menu or navigation bar, click System Control.

  2. Select Users, User Records.

  3. Scroll and select the user required.

  4. Click Options.

  5. Click Edit.

  6. Select the Master Status check box.

  7. Click Save.

Note: Granting a user Master Status will not elevate any other permissions, this purely gives them the ability to log themselves out of any sessions they may have in order to log in again.

If you are a Dimensions 3.0 user and you are unable to press 'Yes' or 'No' on the error message, then please follow the below steps:

1. Right click onto the Citrix Workspace icon on your taskbar. You will need to click the up arrow on the taskbar to open this.
2. Click onto Connection Center.
3. Locate the Connection from the Connection window on the left hand side and highlight this.
4. Click onto Log Off.
5. If a message appears saying ''Are you sure you want to sign out?'', press Yes.
6. You can then close the Citrix Connection Center.
7. Once Citrix Connetion Center has been closed, log out of Workspace and back in and re-launch Dimensions.
