Apply a hot fix?

If Access Support have identified a resolution can be resolved for your version of software by applying a Hot Fix, then will send the specific Hot Fix file to yourselves.

To apply the relevant HotFix:

  1. Navigate to your Dimensions install folder. This is usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Applications\Dimensions\Accounts\[version no].

  2. If a folder already exists named customservice, skip to step 5.

  3. Right-click and create a new folder.

  4. Rename the folder to be customservice.
    Note: The name has to be exact for Dimensions to be able to use it.

  5. Open the customservice folder.

  6. Paste the Hot Fix file into this new folder.

  7. Log in to Dimensions normally. A message will appear on screen for a brief time that says ‘Applying the Custom Service Pack…’. The Hot Fix will now have been applied to your machine.

Note: This process will need to be carried out for all machines that need the Hot Fix applied.
