The Dimensions crystal reports will be stored on your local network and split into folder locations to indicate which module they appear under.
β
In order to provide access to the reports, you will need to set the Crystal Reports Location on the relevant users' record to the correct location. To do this:
Navigate to System Control, Users.
Select the users record and click Edit.
Click Options.
To the left of Crystal Report Location, select the arrow icon.
Ensure that this location is set to the main (top level) folder for your reports location (the reports will be organised so that you have a main folder, with each of the modules within that, and then the list of reports for that module.
Example: Your organisation holds your crystal reports in the Dimensions Reports folder on one of your servers. Within the Dimensions Reports folder the are folders for Nominal, Costing, Sales Ledger and the other modules in Dimensions. In this scenario you would need to set the Crystal Reports Location for the user to the Dimensions Reports folder on your network.
β
Note: Access to the crystal reports requires the user to have access to the relevant module in the Dimensions security profile. If you have crystal reports in the Costing folder, then only users with a security profile that has access to costing reports will be able to see and use them.
