The Crystal Reports (ACR) function is always in the same location in the ribbon â only the module tab changes. For example:
Click the Financials tab in Dimensions.
Click the ACR button in the ribbon. The Crystal Reports window appears.
Common report options
Every report window shares the same features and output options.
Output options
At the top left of a report window, three output icons let you choose where to send the report:
The first icon sends the report to screen.
The second icon sends the report to the selected printer.
The third icon sends the report by email.
Search options
Most internal Dimensions reports support search criteria. You can save searches for future use. The fourth icon opens the search options at the bottom of the screen. The fifth icon saves the search.
Saving searches
To save a search for ongoing use:
Click the Search icon to set the search criteria.
Click the Save icon. A save window appears.
Enter a name for the search.
Select whether the search is Default, Private, or Protected.
Click the Save icon.
Favourites
Mark a report as a Favourite to move it to the top of the list:
Click the report to highlight it.
Click the Favourite icon at the top of the screen.
The report appears at the top of the list, marked with a star.
Output and options
Double-click a report to run it. The standard Crystal output window appears. The following icons are available in the output window:
The X icon closes the report preview.
The Triangle icon moves to the next page.
The next icon moves to the last page.
The Printer icon sends the report to the printer.
The letter icon exports the report to a file. Available formats include Excel, PDF, and Text.
