User Record Inactive allows a User with the correct Security Profile, to Log Out (make Inactive) another user. This option should only be used when a User has exited the application incorrectly, e.g. having crashed, and the system is still recording them as being logged in.

It may also be necessary to Clear Multi-User Flags, and if there is any possibility that the crash occurred while posting a transaction, or updating a record, then you must restore from your last backup.

If you do not restore from your backup, and your data has been damaged or corrupted, there may be no immediate sign of this damage. The fact that following a crash, you can access your data, does NOT mean that all is well.
