Aged Debt/Creditors

Aged Debt/Creditors

Printing the standard Aged Debtors/ Creditors report takes substantially longer than printing a simpler report such as a Customer List. This is because the report has to look at all outstanding transactions, sort them by Customer, sort them by Date (or period), subtotal the transactions for both Customer and Period, then print the result.

A Fast Report option is available for both the Aged Debtors and Aged Creditors reports. This option produces the aged report without all the time consuming sorting by using the results produced by running the Transaction Process -Aged Debt/Creditors process.

Selecting and running this process to Update Aged Debt or to Update Aged Creditors will update the Aged Analysis fields on each Customer or Supplier record with aged analysis values as at the point in time that the update is performed.

Running this process can be a lengthy process, but if you run it regularly at a time convenient to the users of your system, you can be sure that your aged analysis information is up-to-date and you can make use of the Fast Report option on the Aged Debtors and Aged Creditors reports to produce your aged reports.
