A different colour is applied to:

  • Selected Lines and Current Line Outline;

  • Expanded Level 1 (Detail Lines);

  • Transaction Lines (defaults to white)

Select Reset Colours to return to the system default colours of blue, cream and white.

Totals

Show overall totals on window

A status bar containing the totals for the transactions currently displayed in the enquiry window will be added to the foot of the window.

When the window first opens

Make a selection as to which transactions are loaded when the Enquiry window first opens. When an Enquiry is opened from Enquiry menu, it will always be empty and the option will be selected and disabled. When an Enquiry is opened from another Enquiry, or the 360, the option will be unticked and disabled.

  • Load transactions for all years all periods - this is the default for new databases but may result in a lot of transactions being loaded.

  • Load transactions for the current period - the Open Period for the ledger.

  • Load transactions for the current Working Period - based on today's date.

Limiting the transactions that are loaded will make the display quicker and other periods can easily be loaded from the Period menu.

  • Do not show transactions - The Do not show transactions option will open the window without loading any transactions. The window will open in List Definition mode enabling you to use the filters and enter search criteria to limit the transactions that are displayed.This option will only be enabled when the Enquiry is opened from a Record window.

Maximum List Size

A maximum size can be entered for the list. This will automatically restrict the size of the list without you having to make any other selections or entering search criteria. However, this may mean that the record you require is not displayed immediately and it is not an efficient method of locating specific transactions.

Previous/Next Additional records can be displayed by using the Next icon on the toolbar.

The benefit of entering a maximum list size is that the list will always be restricted to a manageable size.

The initial limit will be the system default, as entered in the Drill down Maximum List size field on the System Options - System Format tab.

Enter a numeric value for the list size. If you enter 0, no limit will be applied.
