Chase Debtors - Search

Security Profile restrictions - If the View Own Customers option is enabled then only Customers assigned to you as a Credit Controller will be included in the list. This option is found in Global Options of your Security Profile.

When you select the Chase Debtors option, you will be prompted to run a search to build a chase list to work from. The list selection is made from the drop-down list at the foot of the window.

Display

You should first select the type of list you want to open. The chase list can be built as a Summary View, an Aged Analysis View, or as a Workspace Comments View. The Workspace Comments view is automatically selected if the “Sync…” option was used and updates were found

Selecting this option uses the Aged Analysis view on the Chase Debtors screen but filters the customers shown to only include those that have unread comments

Age by

The ageing methods are by Due Date or by Transaction Date.

When viewing the Summary view, you can switch to the Aged Analysis view using right-click menu. So, although the ageing method is for the Aged Analysis view, you should select your preferred ageing method even if you are viewing the Summary view.

Having configured the type of list, you should enter the search criteria that will return you the accounts you want to work with. The Chase Debtors Search window contains two searches: the first searches the Customer records, the second searches the Transactions.

The Transaction search tab is not available unless you select to display the Aged Analysis View.

Customers search

You can search for transactions by using any of the customer-based criteria fields.

When you select to display Specific-currency Customers and outstanding transactions: In the Chase Debtors window if you then select the Enter Receipt function to process Bulk receipts, on the Bulk Receipts selection window, the currency defaults to Home - not the selected currency from Chase Debtors. It is necessary to select the appropriate specific currency to allocate and process payments.

Transactions search

You can search for transactions by using any of the transaction-based criteria fields.

Select Search / Save Search

Searches can be saved using the Save Search feature and retrieved for use by clicking the Select Search icon.

Clear

Clicking the Clear icon will clear the fields on the search window.

Sync comments and queried transactions with Workspace

This option allows you to see updates entered onto customer statements via Access Workspace. Once a Customer Statement has been uploaded to Access Workspace, the Customer in question can log on and view that Statement and query transactions and add comments.

Selecting the option will retrieve updates as well as upload any new comments/ queries to Workspace.

Display

When you have made your selections and entered the search criteria that is to be matched, click the Display icon to activate the search and populate the Chase Debtors window.

The Search window can be re-opened from the Chase Debtors window by clicking the Search icon.
