Terms Template
The Terms Template menu option enables you to define new templates and update existing ones.
Instead of entering Terms individually for each of your Customers, you should create a Terms Template.
Once created, the template can be attached to the Customer's record.
The use of a template means that you can unify the terms placed on new records.
Updates to the Template will update the Terms of the Customer's who are attached to that Template.
Later, should you decide it is appropriate, you can vary the terms for individual Customers by ticking the Custom flag on their Terms window, thus releasing them from the template.
The advantages of this are that you can have more than one standard set of terms and that you can update the terms of all the Customers attached to a template by updating the template.
Standard
The Standard Template is the default template.
You can customise this template to on your own Company standards.
You can create new templates by duplicating and editing an existing template.
Fields
The Terms fields are described in the Customer Terms topic, the remaining fields:
Delivery Method: Text that will be added to printed documents. This can be entered or changed on each Sales Order, in the Terms window. This will then be printed on the Invoice.
Delivery Times: For Normal and Urgent orders. These fields are use to calculate the Required Date which can be used to prioritise batch processing of Sales Orders. You can set the delivery times to zero to provide the ability to process orders as same day delivery.
Workflow Forms
Any Workflow Forms on the Record Window are displayed in a list pane at the bottom of the record window. If no WFF is attached to the record, the pane is not visible.
