CIS - HMRC Comms (Gateway Response)
HMRC Communications enables the automatic transmission of information to HM Revenue & Customs via the Internet. When HMRC Communications have been set up and activated, you will be able to match and verify your subcontractors from within Access Accounts and also file your CIS300 return.
Match and Verify requests are processed via the Request Match/Verify window.
The CIS300 return is filed from the CIS 300 option.
Processing by HMRC may take some time, so to avoid you having to remain connected to the Gateway, you can check for responses at a later time.
When your request or return has been processed, HMRC will place a response message in your mailbox.
Select Check for Responses option and select either Match/Verify Requests or CIS300 Returns.
Access Accounts will connect to your mailbox at the Gateway and check your mailbox for response messages that relate to the communication you have selected.
Messages will be displayed in the HMRC Communications - Outstanding Messages window ready for downloading.
Once downloaded, the message header will be displayed in the Gateway Response window.
The message header contains important information about the data received by HMRC including the IRmark. This is a unique reference issued by HMRC to confirm receipt of the data.
We recommend that you print this information by selecting a print output and clicking the Print icon.
