Below steps help On-premises Dimensions users to import new Journal template via Excel into Dimensions :
Go to Add-ins.
Click on Journal Import.
From the drop-down options click on Setup.
Check the connection type as ODBC. ( For hosted Dimensions Users you will have Hosted connection type. If Hosted is not appearing in the connection type then the user will need to install FMS connector)
Users need to enter the same credentials on the Journal template as they are using for Dimensions.
You can either have Prompt user for database name if the user requires access to multiple databases or can mention only one database to be always connected.
