Refresh the Appdata

To refresh the AppData please do the following:

  1. Open a new File Explorer window.

  2. Delete the navigation path from the Address bar at the top.

  3. In the Address bar enter %appdata%. Press Rtn. The file path to the ‘Roaming’ folder appears.

  4. Open the AccessAccountingLtd folder.

  5. Select the AccessOfficeIntegration folder.

  6. Right-click and select Rename.

  7. Add ‘_Old’ to the end of the folder name. Click outside the name box to save the change.

  8. The user will now need to be re-registered, register AOI and new data connections set up, see how to create Data Connections .

If Access Analytics or Update templates have been used before the AppData refresh, they can be made to appear again by completing the following process:

  1. Open a new File Explorer window.

  2. Delete the navigation path from the Address bar at the top.

  3. In the Address bar enter %appdata%. Press Rtn. The file path to the ‘Roaming’ folder appears.

  4. Open the AccessAccountingLtd, AccessOffficeIntegration_Old, Version number folder, e.g. 5.10.18.

  5. For Access Analytics templates, select the file AccessAccounts,AccessAnalytics,UserTemplates or for Update templates, select the file AccessAccounts,ExcelTemplates,UserTemplates.

  6. Right-click and select Copy.

  7. Navigate back to the AccessAccountingLtd folder and open AccessOffficeIntegration, Version number folder, e.g. 5.14.9. Right-click and select Paste.

  8. Open Excel, select the Access tab, click Access Analytics or Setup Update Template.

  9. Select Existing Templates and check the drop-down shows the templates expected.
