Top 5 Questions & Answers

  • ‘Can you set the email template as a default so you don’t have to change every customer’s details?’ Yes – you can set an email template as a default under the email templates function in the system tab as well as under each customer record’s ‘document settings’. This is demonstrated in Webinar 2.

  • ‘How do we know how many invoices we have processed?’ By navigating to the System Tab, Options, System Control Options and then Documents, you can view the number of documents you have processed in your system. This sequence begins from the initial database configuration. However, it is possible to manually override this – so it is best to check with a system administrator first!

  • ‘If you raise sales invoices in GBP but receive in EUR, should you select GBP and any currency as opposed to EUR and any currency?’ If your Customer or Supplier is of EUR Currency then you would set them to EUR and Any Currency. When raising invoices the Net & VAT calculate in GBP whereas your Gross converts to EUR.

  • ‘How can we view changes in our system?’ There is a report available that can provide information on certain changes within Access Dimensions. Covered in Webinar 2 of the series, under the Company Info you can display the Company Snapshot. Here you can produce a Changes Report, tailoring the information displayed to whatever you’re looking for within the available options.

  • ‘Can you restrict access for users to streamline processes?’ Yes, this is possible by amending the settings against the individual security profiles. More information on this is covered in Webinar 1.
