View consolidated balances on the Trial Balance Report and summarise it

Updated this week

Instead of using the ACR reports in Financials/Nominal Ledger you can display a Trial Balance on the screen which will show summary totals.

Ribbon style menus:

  1. Select Financials in the main menu, then

  2. Click on the Trial Balance icon

  3. Click in the drop-down icon in the top-left of the window to adjust the date range

  4. Click the Display icon to show the report/data

Classic / Module Menu style menus:

  1. Select Nominal Ledger in the navigation bar

  2. Click on Nominal Summary

  3. Click on the Trial Balance

  4. Click in the drop-down icon in the top-left of the window to adjust the date range

  5. Click the Display icon to show the report/data

From here you can then expand / collapse the levels as you wish by clicking on the blue arrows to the left of each heading.

You can also select the print icon to output the report to screen, printer or file.

There is also an option to output the data to Excel, by clicking on the Excel icon.

In the bottom left corner, there are some filter options that you can select. The one labelled Category/Attribute, is useful should you wish to summarise the totals at different levels, within the Major Headings. This can be useful if using Advanced Nominals and you wish to see totals by different portions of the Nominal Code structure. Your selected grouping is then reflected in the bar at the top of the report window.
