If you need to move transactions (Journals or VAT Journals) from one period to another then Datacahecker can do this.
There is a limitation as it can only move transactions in Current or Next Year (not Other Year or Last Year).
Note: Before starting please take a backup of the data and make sure all users are logged out.
Launch Datachecker and read the warning message.
Click Continue to the Warning Message once you have read it.
Click Yes to the following message which reiterates reading the previous Warning Message.
Log in using the Database Owner login details and the correct data source name (e.g. Dimensions).
On the right of the top toolbar, use the Data Check drop-down and select Nominal, Move Transactions. A new Move Transactions window appears.
Click Continue in red. A confirmation window appears.
Click Yes.
In the bottom right, in the ‘Load from’ section, select the period the transaction(s) were posted to (e.g. Current 2).
Click the green tick icon. Information should populate in the window.
Locate and double-click the Journals to be moved.
In the Post to section, select the period to post to.
Click the green tick, OK icon. The journals will be moved and a message will appear.
Click OK.
