Auto reconcile transactions using auto bank reconciliation

The Auto Bank Reconciliation module supports two reconciliation methods: manual and automatic. This article covers the automatic method.

Run automatic reconciliation

  1. Click Financials, then click Cash Book.

  2. Click Auto Bank Reconciliation. The ABR Messages window opens.

  3. The top panel shows any matches or conflicts found.

Reconciliation matching rules must be defined under Options before the ABR Messages window will work.

If there are no conflicts

Close the window by clicking the red X icon.

If there are conflicts

The system has found more than one possible match. Select the correct match and reconcile it:

  1. Click the Conflicting Transactions panel.

  2. Click a transaction. Possible matches appear in the Possible Matches panel.

  3. Double-click the correct transaction in the Possible Matches panel. It is automatically reconciled.

  4. View the reconciled transactions in the Imported Transactions panel. If ’C’ is entered in the rec column against reconciled transactions. ’C’ is used as an abbreviation for a ’Complete’ match.

The following options are available:

Update Reconciliation

Updates the current bank account, flags cash book transactions as reconciled, and marks the statement as complete.

Save

Saves the automated bank reconciliation at the current stage.

Cancel

Cancels any changes made since the last save.

Once a statement is fully reconciled, click Update Reconciliation to mark it as complete and remove it from the default statement search.
