Stock Take has not adjusted the physical stock quantity as expected

Updated over a week ago

The current balance of the physical stock quantity on a Stock Record shows the balance including all stock movements for the Stock Record.

When you use the Stock Take function, you can select the Year and Period to use as the balance for the stock quantity.

Depending on the chosen Year and Period, it may not result in a quantity balance that matches the current physical quantity on the Stock Record if there are additional stock movements in a later Year/Period.

Therefore, the resulting adjustment record calculated by the Stock Take function will be based on the calculated quantity for the chosen Year and Period and therefore may not result in an adjustment that corrects the full current total of the Stock Record that includes all movements.

The Stock Take function by default selects the Year and Period based on the current system date. You can change the Year / Period if you wish.
