This can happen when opening a shared Excel sheet. Clicking Create Sheet and choosing the journal type may resolve it. Having multiple sheets open and using Ctrl+N to open a new one will also result in the upload area being greyed out — open a new sheet from the Start menu instead. Windows updates can remove some function add-ins. To check if this is the case, in Excel, select File then Options. Choose Add-Ins, then Excel Add-Ins. Ensure Access Office Integration Excel Functions is selected. If it is not visible, browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Applications\Access Office Integration (Client) version number and add the appropriate function for your version of Excel. Also ensure that the correct licence is applied via AOI Registration. If you need a new or updated AOI licence, contact support.
