Error - 'A file that the external PDF_link.dll relies on is missing or is the incorrect version'

This error appears when Dimensions was not installed by a user with full administrator rights. To fix it:

  1. Uninstall Dimensions.

  2. Reinstall Dimensions using a Windows account with full administrator rights. If you do not have these permissions, contact your IT team.

If the error persists after reinstalling as an administrator:

  1. Uninstall Dimensions.

  2. Log out of Windows.

  3. Log in to Windows using a full administrator account.

  4. Install Dimensions.

  5. Log out of Windows.

  6. Log back in to Windows as the original user.
