WO Creation Wizard - (Build for Stock) Search Criteria
Selecting the New Works Order option will open the Works Order Creation Wizard. The purpose of this wizard is to assist you with the generation of Works Orders for your production schedule.
There are three methods of generating Works Orders, this topic describes the Building for Stock method: building stock based on re-stocking requirements .
Open the Works Order Creation Wizard and select Building for Stock as the preferred method. Click Next.
The Next and Back buttons, at the foot of the windows, are used to move through the wizard. The Cancel button can be used to cancel the process and close the wizard.

Selection
On this window you should create a list of the items that you wish to build for stock. The window has a tabular format.
In the first field, enter the Stock code of a valid assembly stock item.
When you tab from the field, the stock record will be retrieved and the description of the stock item will be displayed.
The prompt will now be in the Quantity field. Enter the quantity you wish to build.
Tabbing from the quantity field will display a new, empty line ready for the entry of the next stock code.
If you do not know the Stock code,
Click on the look-up function to open the Stock record pop-up list. The list will only contain assembly type stock items.
Use a double-click to select an item from the list.
If you enter a partial code before clicking the look-up function, the list window will only contain assembly type stock items where the code starts with the characters you have entered.
If you leave the quantity as zero, the stock item will be ignored when you move to the next window in the wizard.
When your list is complete, press Next.
