A Route is a collection of stages that a works order needs to go through before it can be completed.

To keep a record of the progression of a works order along the assigned route:

When opened from the Transactions menu:

Details of existing works orders can be loaded into the window by entering the works order number in the Order No. field and pressing Enter or Tabbing out of the field.

The search button will open a list of currently active works orders so that you can select the works order with a double click.

To select using the keyboard: press the tab key to bring the list into focus; use the down arrow on the keyboard to move to the works order you require; press Return to select the works order.

When opened from the Works Orders Control window, the details of works orders you selected in the control window will be loaded into the window.

You can select another works order without returning to the Works Order Control window by entering the works order number or clicking on the search button and selecting from the list.

Details from the selected works order will be displayed including the works order notes.

Maintain the progress record by changing the quantity currently at each stage of the production process.

You must click OK to save your changes.

If the full works order quantity is at the same stage, the entire quantity can be advanced to the next stage using this function.
