Auto-select currency Analysis
When entering a non-Home currency Stock or Price-line Sales Order / Credit Note, the system automatically applies a Currency Sales Analysis code, where one exists. If one does not exist, then the default currency analysis, based on order of precedence, is applied.
Sales Order Options
If you want to use the Auto-select Currency Analysis feature, you should first enable the 'Auto-select currency Analysis' option in System > Sales Order Options > Transactions. There are no special Security priviledges required to use this feature.
If you now navigate to Debtors > Analysis, you will see the new Currency Analysis Codes in the list pane.
Example: You have a database with a 2nd Base of USD, and have EUR as a trading currency; your Default Sales analysis is 10110. In the Sales Ledger Analysis list, with this feature enabled, you will now see 10110, 10110EUR, and 10110USD.
Sales Orders and Credit Notes
Where a default Home Sales Analysis is set against a Stock Price-line or Sub Analysis, and a Currency Detail line is entered for that item and the Auto-select Currency Analysis option is enabled, when you enter a Sales Order / Sales Credit Note using the Stock item or Price line, then the system will first look for a Sales Analysis with the same code plus the Currency symbol (or code plus ISO Code, if using ANL). If the Currency Analysis does not exist, then the system will use the appropriate Sales default, as per usual.
