Using Corrections

Disclaimer

It is wholly your responsibility to limit Corrections access only to Users who are authorised to use it. The people authorised to use the Corrections Module must be fully aware of how to use the features and the effects of any such use.

It is recommended that any changes or merges are tested on a test copy of the data before attempting to make the changes on your live system.

It is also your responsibility to ensure that regular, successful backups of your Access Accounts databases are taken, and that these are kept in a safe location. It is advisable to take additional backups of a database before making any major changes with Corrections. In addition, you should be fully aware of how to revert to a backup if needed.

It is strongly recommended that you have training or consultancy on Corrections before using any part of the software. If you are unsure of any aspect of the software please contact your support provider for assistance before attempting to use the feature.

Access shall not be liable whatsoever in the event of damage to your system, software, or data.

Security

Because access to the Corrections Module is governed by Access Accounts Security Profiles, you must ensure that these are set up correctly. To control access to the Corrections Module it is recommended that you create new Security Profiles which contain only users authorised to use the Corrections Module.

Scope

If the Corrections Module is used to edit a Sales Ledger or Purchase Ledger Transaction that originated from Sales Orders or Purchase Orders, only the invoice will be updated - NOT the original order!
