Postcode Lookup
When you are using Dimensions with Access Workspace, a Postcode lookup option is available on specific record windows:
Customer record (normal and 'on the fly'), Customer Address
Supplier record (normal and 'on the fly'), Supplier Address
CRM Postcode search
CRM Data Entry record
The postcode lookup option is only available where:
Access Workspace is unlocked for Dimensions,
postcode Subscription Type lookups for Workspace are Street only or Full premises,
Access Workspace Postcodes Remaining Credits is greater than zero, and
the screen is in insert/edit mode.
Where a valid UK postcode has been entered, selecting this option opens a screen showing all matching addresses for the entered postcode. You are cautioned if you try to look up an invalid postcode or have insufficient credits remaining to perform the search.
Where Subscription Type is Street only Lookup, then matching addresses at street level only are displayed.
For example, entry of CO7 6LZ returns:
• School Lane, Stratford St. Mary, Colchester, Suffolk.
Where Subscription is set to Full premises lookup, then all matching addresses for all premises are displayed.
For example CO7 6LZ returns:
• Access UK Ltd, The Old School, School Lane, Stratford St. Mary, Colchester, Suffolk,
• 93 School Lane, Stratford St. Mary, Colchester, Suffolk,
• 94 School Lane, Stratford St. Mary, Colchester, Suffolk
Highlight and click OK (or double-click) to select the relevant address fields. Any existing values are overwritten.
