Company Details
Company Details is an entry window for recording the details of your Company. This window is displayed automatically when you create a new database, and can also be opened from the System ribbon; from this window you can Edit your Company's information in order to append updated information.

Select this to open a dialog that details the Database created on date.
Defaults
This opens the Home Defaults window, which shows the country, currency, rounding difference, and tax defaults for the database in use.
Snapshot
Snapshot provides an overview of the main Nominal accounts and the stock valuation. You are able to drill down on the Valuation to see FIFO, Average, Latest, and Weighted values.
It also provides four further functions:
Chase, which lists overdue Sales Invoices.
CashFlow, which produces a Cash Flow forecast.
Changes, which reports on records that have been added or changed.
Validate, which validates the main Sales and Purchase balances and the Trial Balance.
Address
The Address function enables you to add further addresses for other branches of your Company.
Branch ID - If you are in a multi-location company, you should enter a 3 character, alphanumeric identification.
Address, Town, County, Postcode, Country - The address entered here is denoted as Address Code 1.This code cannot be changed as it indicates the primary address for the Company. When using Dimensions with Access Workspace, there is a Postcode Lookup function.
VAT Registration - Enter the VAT Registration as advised by HMRC. This will be in the format '999 9999 99'

Definable tab
The Definable tab card has three User Fields in which you can store information about the Company, and a larger field in which you can enter a Factoring Message.
If a Factoring Message is entered, it will be printed on any sales invoices that are produced for Customers who have the word "FACTOR" in the User Key 1 field on their record.
Notes tab
The field on this tab can be used to hold general notes concerning the Company. You can enter about 8 pages of text.
If you click on the field, it will "pop-out" of the tab card so that you can expand it (by dragging the lower right hand corner of the window) for easy use.
Bank Details
You should enter the bank details of the Company's primary bank account.
If you are going to be using BACS, it is imperative that you complete the details on the Bank tab. Many BACS formats have a mandatory requirement for Company Bank Details to be included, and as a consequence, if the details are incomplete or blank then the BACS file will fail. Please refer to the General Information > BACS Formats topics.
Sort Code - Enter the 6-digit bank sort code. The system will automatically ask if you wish to format with dash separators.
Account Reference - This field can be used to contain BACS information. Check the format you are using for further details; this information can be found in the General Information BACS Formats chapter.
BACS Export Format - This contains a list of all supported BACS Export Formats; however, the list can be filtered in Purchase Ledger Options > Remittances to show only the formats you use. Use the drop-down to select the format you will be using.
Bank Reference - This field can be used to contain BACS information. Check the format you are using for further details; this information can be found in the General Information BACS Formats chapter.
SWIFT/BIC Code - These are ISO standard formats that are unique identifiers for international financial institutions. SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication), BIC (Bank Identifier Code), and IBAN (International Bank Account) are all ISO Formats; however, IBAN is earlier than SWIFT/BIC and is covered by a separate ISO Standard. The SWIFT/BIC Code is the agreed common format in implementing Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) in the Eurozone. The SWIFT/BIC Code an XML format. Comms tab
These are additional fields to record information about your company, and are used for custom reports and/or when communicating with HMRC.
