Works Order Enquiry
The window will open in List Definition mode so that you can use the Filter and Sort Order options and the Search pane to locate the Works Order that you wish to view.
The default is to filter to display Top Level Works Orders that are WIP or Not Yet Started.
Child Works Orders can be listed by selecting them in the filter pane.
You can also select to display Completed, Cancelled and Merged Works Orders.
The Search fields include Routes and Stages. You may wish to enter a date range to limit the number of Works Orders that are retrieved.
Supplementary Information
When you have retrieved your Works Order records into the Enquiry window, you can switch to display the Supplementary Information by clicking on the Supplementary Information icon.
Additional information about the currently selected Works Order will be displayed in the lower part of the Enquiry window.
When a Works Order detail line is selected, the right-hand tab cards will show Product, RTP and Quantity Information.
The RTP tab will display information about Purchase Orders that have been raised to provide stock for the selected Works Order.
It will show details of any batched Purchase Order that has been raised to purchase the stock item. Once the Purchase Order is completed and the item is moved into stock, the link will be lost and the RTP details will not be displayed.
The Quantity tab contains a Free WIP field. This is the quantity of WIP, available from other top level works orders, that could be used to complete the currently selected works order.
Column widths in Enquiry windows
The columns have two types: fixed and variable.
The fixed columns are those to the left of the transaction pane. When the horizontal scroll bar is used to view columns to the right of the window, the fixed columns will remain visible and the variable columns will move behind them.
The variable columns can be resized by moving the cursor to the line between two headings. When pointer changes to a split pointer, as shown below, drag and drop the edge of the column to the width you require.
The column widths for the fixed columns can be changed from the Resize Tree Columns window, opened by right-clicking on the column headings. The column positions you select can be saved.
Data in the columns should not overlap when making the column narrower.
However, if you resize the first column to be smaller than the data requires, the text in column 1 may overlap the data in column 2.
This limitation is to display the 'Totals for...' line and to avoid this line becoming truncated.
