This button enables you to print out the information that you are currently viewing in an Enquiry window. The option is also available on Record List windows and when producing reports.
The displayed window enables you to select the output destination for the report. You may also be able to add optional fields and for some reports, to specify the language to be used.
When activated from an Enquiry window, the enquiry report will contain the data displayed in the Enquiry window with the columns that have been selected using the Select Report Columns icon.
Nominal Ledger reports
When the print output window is selected from the Nominal Ledger Record Enquiry window there are two report options available.
The default is Enquiry Report which builds an enquiry report containing the data displayed in the Enquiry window and using the selected report columns.
The second report is the Standard Journal report, with the option to add Notes and Full Description. This report enables you to print a full transaction report without expanding the transactions to display the detail lines in the window.
Sales Analysis Transactions / Purchase Analysis Transactions reports
When the print output window is selected from the Sales or Purchase Analysis enquiry windows, there are two report options available.
The default is Enquiry Report, with the option to add Notes, which builds an enquiry report containing the data displayed in the Enquiry window and using the selected report columns.
The second report is the Transaction List report, with the option to add Full Description. This report enables you to print a full transaction report without expanding the transactions to display the detail lines in the window.
Security Profile Report
This is not available in Dimensions Lite. There is an option on the report Output window called Full Details. If selected the report will print with all details including the default options section.
Report output:
Default - This output option is only available for some Document reports. If selected, the Document will be sent to the default destination as set on the Customer/Supplier record Documents tab card.
Screen - This displays the report on the screen.
Printer - This sends the report to your printer. Before using this you should check your Page Setup.
File - This sends the report to a text file which can later be printed or read. The file will be written into the folder where your Access software is installed. When you print the report, a further window gives you the option to change the file name.
Fax - Sending documents by Fax requires additional hardware and the appropriate software. If these are not present, this button will be inactive. Not all reports can be sent by Fax. This will send the report to a Fax.
Email - This will send the report by Email as an attachment. Attached reports can be in the form of .TXT (Text) files or .PDF (Portable Document Format) files.
Select Printer - This enables you to select the printer to be used.
OK - you can start the report by using the OK button.
Cancel - this closes the Output window without printing.
