Journal Types provides a method of labelling a particular journal/ template journal transaction, i.e. as Accruals, Payroll, Fixed Asset, etc.

This pane displays a list of existing Journal Types, and allows you to create new Journal Types comprising a 20 character Description. The entry field is found at the bottom of the pane.

You are able to Edit and Delete existing Types; however, if you select to edit or delete a Type that has been used then you are cautioned and must confirm that you want to continue.
