What needs to be done when upgrading to Microsoft Office 365?

Updated over a week ago

There are 3 main things to check when using Microsoft Office 365:

  1. Your version of Access Dimensions is 2.51a or higher. This is to provide full compatibility between the two softwares, using an older version of Dimensions is not guaranteed to be 100% working with Office 365.

  2. If using MAPI to send emails, ensure that the version of Outlook installed on the PCs is 32-bit. Dimensions does not support 64-bit email clients.

  3. If using SMTP to send emails, the only changes will need to be made in the System Settings if any server addresses or ports have been changed. This can be found by following the below:

    1. Open Dimensions

    2. Click on the System tab

    3. Click Options

    4. Click System Control Options

    5. Click on the System Format tab

    6. Click the Blue Arrow by the System Email Defaults label

    7. Click on the Computer Icon at the top left to update the SMTP server details

    8. Save your changes
