Reports which were generated and successfully emailed from Dimensions may still be seem to be sent but no actual emails are sent.
This can happen if MAPI is being used in Dimensions (which requires Outlook) and a recent Office upgrade has replaced a 32-bit version of Office with a 64-bit version. In this case, when emailing a report from within Dimensions it may show a message saying Sending email but no emails are generated.
To determine your current setting:
Click System, Security, User Records (Ribbon) or System Control, Users, User Records (Classic)
Select the User
Click Records, Options
If E-mail Setup is showing MAPI then the user is using MAPI/Outlook
To determine if Outlook is 32 or 64-bit:
Open Outlook
Click File, Office Account
Click About Outlook. The information about whether it is 32/64-bit appears at the end of the top line
The combination of MAPI in Dimensions and 64-bit Outlook will not work.
To resolve this, either:
Set Dimensions to use SMTP (avoiding Outlook) or
Ask your IT department to install 32-bit Office on your PC.
