Note: This solution is only applicable if the correct BACS Export format for your bank is already available for selection in the BACS Export screen in Dimensions.
β
The format/structure of the BACS Export file is controlled via Dimensions application configuration files on your local computer.
β
If the BACS Export files produced by others in your organisation are accepted by your bank, then it is possible the Dimensions configuration files on your computer need updating to match those on a computer from which the process is working.
Go to a computer for which this process works
Open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Applications\Dimensions\Accounts\{Version}\Extras where {Version} = the current version of Dimensions you are using
Copy the following two files: BacsFormats.ini, BacsFormats.xml
Go to the computer that needs updating
Open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Applications\Dimensions\Accounts\{Version}\Extras where {Version} = the current version of Dimensions you are using
Rename the following two files: BacsFormats.ini, BacsFormats.xml to preserve them as a back-up in case you need to revert back to these
Paste the files copied from the working computer
Log out of and back in to Dimensions and retry the BACS Export function.
Another thing worth checking is that the format of the data in the file is valid, such as IBAN numbers. Refer to any details of the rejection messages from your bank.
