This is often caused by Dimensions asking to login to the database, but not receiving a reply due to the database being busy. Heavy reporting, or a crashed application can cause this. Your IT may need to investigate what on your server is causing the block - by looking at the SSMS activity monitor. If they need any help doing this, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article and please include details of the user affected.
