Transaction Broker- How to clear the Error Log

Transactions that are unsuccessfully processed are stored within the Transaction Broker parameter file and can be corrected by means of the Error Log.

To open the Error Log;

  1. Click on Transaction Broker

  2. Select Error Log

  3. Select the Datalink

  4. Select the Transaction for which you wish to view the errors from the dropdown menus

  5. Select the appropriate choice from the Status menu:

  • Errors: Displays all the errors that have been generated for the specified Transaction in the specified Datalink.

  • Corrected: Those transactions that you have corrected in the error log can be flagged as Corrected, these transactions are then held with the Corrected status

  • Resubmitted: Displays all the transactions that have been resubmitted from the original database after the error has been amended

  • Completed: Even after transactions are corrected and processed, they are still stored for your reference until you manually delete them

  1. Click on Delete (or Mark all as corrected- possible if dealing with errors only. If you cannot select all, press one of them, then press CTRL and A to highlight them all.)
