Scenario: You may have posted transactions to an incorrect period by mistake. E.g. want to post the transaction to C4, but posted to C3.
In order to correct the period there are 3 options:
Reverse the original transaction from incorrect period, and then re-enter it in the correct period.
If you have access to the Corrections module, then you can right-click on the incorrect transaction and select Edit, change the period and click Save. This will then reflect the correct period on the transaction. This is only possible if the period you are wanting to move the transaction to is still open and also that the Nominal Ledger period of the transaction is still open. Also you need to have permission to post to the period that you are changing the period to.
If you have Datachecker installed, you can also move Nominal Transactions using Datachecker. The Datachecker option is only possible for moving transactions from and to open periods.
